Meanwhile, to clean up Windows update files,
Go to Start > System > Storage > Cleanup recommendations > See Advanced Options (under Temporary files).
Select the check box for Windows update cleanup and Temporary files.
You can also select other check boxes in the lists you want to delete. Once selected, click Remove.
This will clean up or delete the updates that are no longer needed and taking up space on your hard drive.
